It Was Like a Strike of Lightning from Within presents an unique audioscape, blending recountings of nighttime dreams (narrated by the individuals who dreamed them), recollections of waking dreamlike moments (narrated by the individuals who experienced them), and recitations of scripted, synthetic dreams (narrated by actors) that were written by the artist using story elements and "recycled parts" from the "true" dream and waking moments recordings. The installation thus explores the nature of dreams and blurs the boundary between the actually experienced, the unconsciously imagined, and the consciously constructed.
